Every semester, algorithm study sessions are conducted to prepare for various programming competitions such as ICPC and UCPC. The study sessions proceed by solving problems specified on BOJ / codeforces. The difficulty of the study sessions ranges from beginner-level for members who are new to algorithms to advanced sessions for those who are somewhat familiar with them.
During seasons leading up to team-based contests like ICPC, contest teams are formed to practice in teams.
With sponsorship from companies like Naver, Samsung Electronics Software Membership, Hyundai Mobis, and Hanbit Media, UNIST hosts an internal programming contest called Uni-CODE annually.
